RABBI FAITH CANTOR
Rabbi Faith Cantor was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2004, where she also earned a Masters of Education. She served as the Associate Rabbi of Temple Israel in Charlotte, North Carolina and as the Rabbi Educator at Beth El in Pikesville. At Beth El, she oversaw programs for preschoolers through adults and helped develop a leadership program for 9th and 10th graders in conjunction with Chizuk Amuno. Rabbi Faith is currently the Director of Education at Bet Chaverim congregation in Columbia, Maryland. She enjoys teaching Tanakh, Rabbinic texts and Jewish history to both adults and youth. Her past teaching experience includes serving as the year-round Director of Jewish Education for Camp Ramah, teaching Hebrew and Judaics at an inner-city Catholic high school, and work to facilitate Jewish education for children with learning differences. Rabbi Faith volunteered at our Mitzvathon event for teens in December, and her children have been enthusiastic participants for many years. Rabbi Faith writes, “Chevrei Tzedek is a unique community that celebrates the collaboration between its lay leaders and Rabbi. I do my best work in collaboration.”
