Karen Webber is a liturgical, teaching and performing artist from Baltimore, MD.
Ordained as a cantor in 1990 by the Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion in New York (HUC-JIR), she currently serves congregations in Pennsylvania and Maryland as a Guest and holiday cantor. Her poems and rituals are found online in Poetica, Voice of Eve, The Jewish Writing Project and in print in Breaking Ground Magazine, The Torrid Literature Journal, and Lilith Magazine among others.She is thrilled that a few of her essays are included in the new Haftarah commentary being published by CCAR press.
