Rabbi Marci Jacobs
Rabbi Marci Jacobs was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2006, where she also earned a Masters in Talmud and Rabbinics. She served as the Assistant Rabbi of Temple Emunah in Lexington, Mass. and as the Education Director at Congregation Ansche Chesed in New York City. While at Temple Emunah, Rabbi Marci created a program to help congregants learn to lead Shabbat services and read Torah and Haftarah, including detailed recordings. Rabbi Marci taught Rabbinics and T’filah to middle school students at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, MD. She currently is the Middle School Jewish Life Chair at Krieger Schechter Day School, where she taught several of our congregation’s teens. In addition to her supervisory duties, one of the courses she teaches is an immersive class on Holocaust history. Rabbi Marci enjoys helping people to “find meaningful connections to one another, develop their skills and abilities, and find their own unique way to engage with the Jewish community”.
