Delegate Dana Stein
Dana is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and represents District 11B in Baltimore County. He was first elected to the House in 2006, served as Vice Chair of the House Environment and Transportation Committee between 2015 and 2023, and has been Speaker Pro Tem since January 2024. He also serves as chair of the Environment Subcommittee of the Environment and Transportation Committee.
Dana is the executive director and founder of the Baltimore non-profit Civic Works. Participants rehab homes, build parks and gardens, make improvements in the homes of senior citizens, and grow fresh produce at an urban farm. Civic Works also operates a high school in Baltimore, REACH Partnership.
Prior to establishing Civic Works, Dana practiced law for several years at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Washington, D.C. He has a B.A. in government from Harvard University, a law degree from Columbia Law School, and an MPA from Princeton University. He and his wife Margaret live in Pikesville with their three kids.
