Greeters
We are asking members to act as “greeters” to welcome service attendees, to open and close the front doors as needed, and to provide an extra set of eyes for the security of the building. This role involves a 30-minute (or so) shift at the front door during in-person services.
The electricity to the front doors will be OFF on Shabbat and holidays. The front doors will remain open during all but the coldest or hottest days. The doors are easy to open and close for most members, and we do not expect the Myerberg security guard to do that work for us.
The Building Committee has decided that the side “Shabbat” door will remain locked during services (except for Tisha B'Av). Leaving that door unlocked and unguarded constitutes an unacceptable security risk, and is not in accord with building security upgrades.
You can sign up to be a Greeter on the SignupGenius. If you have questions, email [email protected].
