Who We Are
Chevrei Tzedek is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue
located in
Baltimore, Maryland. It is intimate, informal, and participatory.

Tzedek is affiliated with the United
Synagogue
of Conservative Judaism which also provides web hosting.

Our
Rabbi
| Rabbi Avram Israel Reisner joined us in August 2005,
providing spiritual leadership. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Baltimore Hebrew University.
Rabbi Reisner has a Ph.D. in Talmud and Rabbinics from the Jewish Theological Seminary,
as well as an MA in BioEthics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a longstanding member of
the Conservative Movement’s Committee on Jewish Law and Standards, where he is a leading voice on
biomedical ethics for the Conservative Movement. We are pleased to share his scholarly thoughts and insights of Torah. |
