Please Consider a Donation to Chevrei Tzedek

We welcome general donations as well as donations to honor or remember a person or to recognize a special event.

Car Donations:  Chevrei Tzedek has arranged with Car Program LLC  to accept the
donation of your used car, regardless of its  condition.  Car Program will arrange for pick-up
at your home.  Donations can be made to any Chevrei Tzedek fund, and are tax-deductible.

Donations are tax-deductible and will be applied to congregation operating expenses unless instructions are included.  Chevrei Tzedek maintains the following accounts to fund various activities:

Jean Steirn Youth Activities Fund:  Subsidizes Noar Tzedek (youth) group activities, especially those for aged, ailing or less fortunate members of the CT community.

Kiddush fund: Provides kiddush supplies and subsidizes special congregational meals.
Library fund:  Purchases books of interest to congregants.  These books are located at the homes of the rabbi and congregants, but eventually will form the nucleus of a congregation library.
Mitzvah fund:  Subsidizes acts of kindness (mitzvot) within the CT community, such as sending birthday cards.
Rabbi's Discretionary fund:  Used at rabbi's discretion to support the needs of congregants, or members of the CT community.
Ritual Preservation fund:  Funds the repair or purchase of ritual objects for use by the synagogue. 
Shiva fund:  Provides meals of condolence for members observing Shiva.
Social Action fund:  Defrays costs of social action supplies and activities, including Purim gifts (Mishloach Manot).
Social Action-Maot Chittim fund:  Provides food for for the less fortunate in the CT community.
Social Action-Honduras fund:  Subsidizes Dr. Ken Tellerman's medical missions to Honduras.
Torah and Sacred book fund:  Funds the purchase of Torahs and sacred books for use by
the synagogue.
Special Needs fund:  Subsidizes efforts to make services and other congregational activities accessible to disabled individuals.
Youth Education fund:  Funds purchases of supplies, toys, games and learning materials for babysitting room and for use during meetings.
Youth Enrichment Scholarship (YES):  Provides awards to deserving young members of the community to subsidize learning experiences.
